• In April, all residential electric customers will receive the Clean Energy Choice

• March and April social media posts feature a variety of topics including ERMU
participating in a blood drive for the American Red Cross, the American Public Power
Association's (APPA) Legislative Rally in Washington, D.C., hosting a student through the
ISD 728 Job Shadow program, Crews participating in the APPA Lineworkers Rodeo, Clean
Energy Choice Residential, National Safe Digging Month, and welcoming Nick Zerwas to
the Commission. Staff will also be posting public service announcements such as details
on the upcoming commission meeting.
• Administration staff has been working with the conservation & key accounts manager
on completing the biennial application for APPA's Smart Energy Provider designation,
which is awarded to organizations demonstrating commitment to and proficiency in
energy efficiency, distributed generation, renewable energy, and environmental
initiatives. ERMU is one of 101 public utilities who carry the designation nationally and
has participated in the program since its inception in 2019.
Staff is pleased to share that Jenny Foss's one year anniversary as communications &
administrative coordinator is April 12. Jenny has been an extraordinary addition to the
team. In just 12 months she has demonstrated not only a strong grasp of her role but
the motivation and capability to create entirely new initiatives independently. Please
join me in congratulating her!
• A fine example of one of those new initiatives from Jenny is the coordinated campaign
the communications department is rolling out this month for the Clean Energy Choice
Residential program. In addition to the bill insert and social media, we are publishing
ads in the Star News, posting an alert bar on our website, boosting social media content

to reach a greater audience, and running a billboard ad. Keep an eye out for this and
other campaigns as part of our strategic plan initiative to drive participation in
Conservation Improvement Programs.
