DISCUSSION:
• Delivered and sealed 11 new water meters.
• Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH
• Completed 23 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
• Submitted the Discharge Monitoring Report for the diesel generation plant to the
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
• Completed and submitted the 2022 Water Conservation Report to the DNR.
• The 60-day review period for our Wellhead Protection Plan amendment ended on April
3. We will host a public hearing after the commission meeting on Tuesday, April 11, at
5:00 p.m., in our main office conference room.
• 1 was present at the open house hosted by the City on March 15 for the School View
neighborhood street reconstruction project to answer any water main replacement
related questions.
• Staff worked with City staff and the contractor hired to demolish Elk River Meats to get
the building's water service properly disconnected from the water main.
• Staff have been busy planning for upcoming projects including Freeport Water Tower
maintenance, School View neighborhood water main replacement, and Highway 169
water main work.
• We will begin flushing hydrants the week of May 8. Customers will be notified and a
map with the zones and dates for flushing will be made public. Flushing is expected to
be completed by the end of the following week.
