Review and discussion of playground concepts for Lion John Weicht Park
Background/Discussion
Staff have been working with Flagship Recreation on playground concepts for Lion John Weicht Park. At the
October 2022 meeting, the Commission recommended a budget of $200,000 for the playground. At the December
14 meeting, the Commissioners expressed concerns that a budget of $200,000 would not be enough for a signature
park playground.
Flagship representatives will present various concepts at the April meeting. The Street and Park Superintendent will
also attend the meeting to discuss playground maintenance needs and questions.
Financial Impact
The PIF currently has $200,000 for a playground at Lion John Weicht Park.
