Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging the monetary contribution of $2,500 from the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association. Background/Discussion We continue to receive donations in the Woodland Trails Regional Park donation box. Elk River Parks and Recreation received a monetary donation in the amount of $2,500 from the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association for the purpose of equipment for parks. Financial Impact A total of $3,680.04 was received in donations for maintenance of trails and park equipment. Updated: January 2023 City of Elk River City Council Resolution 23-____ A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received $1,180.04 in donations from various patrons of Woodland Trails Regional Park and Hillside Park between January 1, 2023, and May 1, 2023, with the intent it be used by Parks and Recreation for Woodland Trails Regional Park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the donating patrons for their donation. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember ___________ and duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following against: , whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
