Staff Update

DISCUSSION:
• The Information Security Committee will hold a meeting on May 9, prior to the
commission meeting. Staff expects to provide a verbal update at the commission
meeting.
• The final amount submitted for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Grid
Resilience and Innovation Partnerships grant was $1,179,592. We expect to hear back if
our projects were awarded duringthe fourth quarter of this year.
• We have been receiving a few calls from commercial solar installers on our policies. I
have spent a bit of time getting up to speed on the regulations and attended a
distributed energy resources summit hosted by Star Energy Services on May 3 that was
very helpful to understanding the application and interconnection process.
• Staff continues to work with DGR Engineering to assemble a bid package for the
transformer supply and delivery to replace the Otsego substation transformer. Staff
anticipates awarding bids at the July regular commission meeting.
