MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER
PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL
WEDNESDAY, MAY 28,1997
Members Present:
Chair Dana Anderson; Commissioners Huberty. Kuester, Olson,
Rolfe Anderson, and Dave Anderson
Members Absent:
Commissioners Westrum and Madsen
Staff Present:

1. Call Meetina To Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Park and
Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Anderson.
2. Discussion on Park Bond Issues
The Commission discussed items they would like to see for inclusion in the
upcoming bond issue. A tentative list of items is as follows:
· Four restrooms at $20.000/each
· Ten open shelters at $22,500/each
· One warming house, 1200 SF, Woodland Trails Park
· Ten playground equipment units at $40,000/each
· One outdoor swimming pool
· Ten miles hiking/biking trails at $50,000/mile
· Riverwalk from Babcock Park to Co. Rd. 42 Bridge
· Purchase of additional park property
· Athletic complex amenities

3. Adiournment
There being no further business, COMMISSIONER DAVE ANDERSON MOVED TO
ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER HUBERTY SECONDED THE MOTION. THE
MOTION CARRIED 6-0.
The meeting of the Elk River Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned at
8: 10 p.m.
