Approve by motion the 2023-2024 Ice/Room/Turf rates.
Background/Discussion
At the June 12, 2023, meeting the MPFAC changed the Ice/Room/Turf agenda item to be “discussion only” after
Chair Williams requested its removal due to his absence. Attached is the information that was part of the June 12,
2023, packet with updated MIAMA rink rates for review and vote.
22-23 Ice Rates: Prime $240/hr. Off-Peak $180/hr.
23-24 Recommended Ice Rates: Prime $250.61/hr. Off-Peak $187.96/hr.
Recommendation is based on a 4.42% five-year average inflations rate.
Staff recommends the Commission reevaluate prime time summer rental rates. Prime time demand for ice shifts
when schools are on summer break to the morning.
Staff recommends the Commission request the City Council to provide a governmental fund transfer to offset
providing discount rental rates purchased in bulk by any user in the interest of supporting local youth athletics
within the community.
Staff recommends a $5/hr. adjustment to all Fieldhouse hourly rental rates. Note that these rates have not been
adjusted since the facility opened 2020.

Establishing rates consistent with the demand for facility use that will allow the FT Center to reach budget goals.
