Engineer: Bolton & Menk, Inc. Project: 2023 Street Improvements Project The Contract is modified as follows upon execution of this Change Order: The existing storm sewer pipe in Morton Avenue south of the connection point of the proposed storm sewer improvements was found to be 12-inch diameter. The record drawings in this location show this pipe as an 18-inch pipe. The Morton Avenue Drainage Study completed in September 2022 determined the recommended improvement based on the 18-inch pipe size. Updating the model to the smaller pipe size found that the storm water would surge out of the new manhole on high rain events. To correct this surge, the 12-inch pipe needs to be replaced with the 18-inch pipe that was originally believed to be in place.
