Approve, byT motion, the hiring of HaileyT Kipka to the position of police officer effective August 21, 2023.
Background/Discussion
We have been recruiting for police officers for the past several months and have been interviewing candidates as
we receive applications. With this hire we are fullyT staffed.
We interviewed Ms. Kipka this spring just prioY to heY heading off to skills training. She has completed skills,
passed her POST test, and completed the pYe-employment tests.
Ms. Kipka `vorked as a public safetyT officer for 2.5 yTears while she was attending St Cloud State UniversityT. She
holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in psyTchologyT.
Ms. Kipka will staYt at pay step 1 for this position. r1ll payr and benefits will be consistent with union contract and
cityT policyT.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
