Action Requested
Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging the monetary contributions of $2,500 from Elk River Youth
Hockey Association.
Background/Discussion
It was recommended during the Multipurpose Facility Branding process that the Senior Activity Center have a
display case in the hallway to use for marketing and promotional purposes.
In 2023, $3000 was budgeted for a display case. A committee made up of five seniors, including the Multipurpose
Facility Advisory Committee Senior Representative, Jim Hecker, came to a consensus for its style and size. Jim
Hecker reported the findings back to the Multipurpose Facility Advisory Committee. It was discussed that the
$3,000 budgeted amount will not be adequate, so the youth hockey rep mentioned their board will consider
making a donate towards this purchase.
The Elk River Senior Activity Center received a monetary donation in the amount of $2,500 from the Elk River
Youth Hockey Association for the purpose of purchasing a display case.
Financial Impact
A total of $2,500 was received in donations for a Senior Center display case.
