Approve, by motion, the expenditure of IT Capital Reserve Funds in the amount of $38,932.93 to directional bore
our fiber lines near the Lake Orono Dam.
Background/Discussion
Zayo International Network Services is conducting boring activities adjacent to the Lake Orono Dam in
September.
There are significant cost savings to partner with Zayo to utilize the mobilized equipment and bury our existing
overhead fiber loop at this location. The overhead fiber lines have a significantly higher vulnerability than a buried
line and staff recommend this partnership opportunity to save on installation costs.
Financial Impact
$38,932.93 reduced from the IT Capital Reserve Fund. This fund has a balance just over $500,000.

sum listed with payment to be made as follows: Net 30 days. All material is guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be
completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications
involving extra costs, will be executed only upon written/verbal orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the
estimate. All agreements contingent upon strikes, accident or delays beyond our control. This proposal subject to acceptance
within 30 days and is void thereafter at the option of the undersigned. It is hereby agreed that if Comlink Solutions, LLC is working
as a sub-contractor, the general contractor or contract holder will provide the legal owner(s) names and mailing address of the
above mentioned property.
