Dear Ms Johnson:
As you may know, the school board recently appointed John Kuester to fill the vacancy created
by Daryl Thompson's resignation. We now have to seek candidates to fill the vacancy created
by Jack Hines' recent resignation.
The board directed the administration to use the board selection committee and a similar process
to fill the vacancy. The committee will meet in early January and will attempt to complete its
work by the end of January.
Your city will again be asked to appoint someone to serve on the committee. If the person that
was appointed by you to. serve. on the committee would like to continue to serve, please let me
know and we will confirm their involvement. If the person you appointed does not want to
continue to serve on the committee, please appoint a member of your council to serve. I need to
have the name of your appointed person by January 3.
