Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging appreciation and thanks to the many sponsors that help make Elk
RiverFest possible.
Background/Discussion
Elk RiverFest generated the revenue shown below for 2023. The sponsorship money contributed by local
businesses provided free family entertainment for the Orono Park events.
Revenue $26,408.75
Expenses $18,744.00
Difference $7,664.75
Financial Impact
The event generated funds to be used towards the 2024 River Fest.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received $6,000 from First Bank Elk River, $500 each
from The Sunshine Depot, Ampact, Elk Lodge, P.S. Dance, Northface Construction,
Beautifully You, and prize donations valued at $500 from MinneMade for Elk RiverFest
2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the businesses for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
