Background/Discussion
Elk River Municipal Utilities has been preparing for a transition to a new automated system to read customer
meters for electric and water billing.
Automated Metering Infrastructure or AMI will require new meters for each customer that will transmit usage
data directly to ERMU.
Technical Services Superintendent Mike Tietz will provide an overview of the new system, implementation
phasing, the benefits for ERMU and what customers can expect.
