1. Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority
Together Elk River Subcommittee was called to order at 5:04 p.m. by Jennifer.
2. Consider Agenda
Moved by Debbi and seconded by Charlie to approve the agenda. Motion carried 3-0.
3. Consider Minutes
Moved by Charlie and seconded by Debbi to approve August 21, 2023, Meeting Minutes. Motion
carried 3-0.
4.1 Downtown Banners
Jennifer introduced Molly Nadeau-Peterson as a prospective member to the committee.
Josh shared the updated banner drafts. He also shared that ERMU had advised to keep the existing
composition of rectangle and triangle infrastructure on the poles.
The committee provided feedback on the new triangle banner drafts.
4.2 Billboard Update
Josh advised that there was no billboard availability for the month of October, but he had secured billboard
time from 11/1-11/28.
The committee suggested looking into securing additional time in December to promote local shopping.
Moved by Debbi and seconded by Charlie to purchase four subsequent weeks of billboard space if
available. Motion carried 3-0.
4.3 169 Construction Update, and Letter to the Editor
Josh shared a few of the notes from the most recent MnDOT communications meeting.
Josh shared the draft letter to the editor written by Charlie. He suggested emailing updates or suggestions to
him to compile and provide to the Star News for publishing.
4.4 General Updates
Due to lack of time, this item was not discussed.
5. Motion to Adjourn
Moved by Debbi and seconded by Charlie to adjourn the meeting of the Elk River Economic
Development Authority Together Elk River Subcommittee.
The meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
