VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 12, 1914
A regular meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of Charles F Firman Pres Wednesday
evening Aug 12, 1914.
Present: Charles F. Firman, Pres, F.M. Plank, E.J. Keegan, Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne Clerk.
F.D. Waterman, R.A. Calef, Andrew Davis, C.M. Babcock, Geo Blanchell.
Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:00 P.M.
This being our reg. meeting the following bills were taken up and on motion allowed and Clerk
instructed to draw orders for their respective amts.

F.D. Waterman presented his proposition in regard to Electric light for Village a number of
questions were asked and answered but no action taken. Representatives of the Tri-State Tel. Co
presented a copy of Franchise for acceptance of council after considerable discussion laid on table
until Friday night August 14 by consent without motion. Motion made and carried that the Village

construct a cement crossing on Mill St at crossing of 5 from Methodist church to
