VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 3, 1913
A Special meeting of Village Council was held at the office of Charles F. Firman on Wednesday
evening Dec 3, 1913.
Present: C.F. Firman Pres, F.M. Plank and E.E. Scott Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne Clerk.
Also Marshal Ed Healy and John Nalley. Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:30.
This meeting was called for the purpose of considering the best way of completing Bridge No. 668
over Miss River at this place. The Grand Bridge Co having defaulted their contract.
The Council rec’d several estimates of cost for removing old tubes and concrete work also
excavating and putting in according to plans and specifications.
After some discussion the following motion was made and carried that the council proceed to do
this work by the day.
Mr. John Nalley offered to take charge of the work for 40 cents per hour saying he could get 4 men
at .20 and 2 at .25 per hour. Mr. Nalley was engaged to do the work.
No further business adjourned.
