SUBJECT: Call for Public Hearings
Staff recommends the City Council call the following public hearings for the February 6,
2006 City Council meeting:
. A public hearing is required by MN Department of Employment and Economic
Development (DEED) in order to close out the reporting requirements of the MN
Investment Fund Program grant of $200,000 which the City received in 2003 and
provided as a loan to assist the Sportech, Inc. expansion project.
. A public hearing is required by state statutes to consider the tax abatement and
business subsidy request by The Bank of Elk River for their proposed expansion
project.
