Approve, byT motion, the hiring of Kevin Boser to the position of street maintenance operator effective November
7, 2023.
Background/Discussion
We recentlyr had t�vo resignations in ouY street maintenance division. We went to market to fill these positions and
Yeceived 21 applicarions. We interviewed 17 candidates the first time and invited four back for second interviews.
Follo`ving background and reference checks, we recommend Kevin Boser for one of these positions.
Mr. Boser holds a bachelor's degree u� health promotion. His work historyT includes a yTear `vith 1-800-Got Junk and
another yTear as a laborer `vith Epic Fence. Mr. Boser then opened his o`vn business as a major subcontractor for
Dinius Fence CompanyT.
Mr. BoseY will start at Step A of the IUOE Local 491abor contract. r1ll pay and benefits will be consistent with cityr
policyT and union contract.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
