Discuss the Proctor Road conceptual trail in the trail master plan
Background/Discussion
Commissioner Anderson shared at the October meeting that the 20-acre Nystrom property along Proctor Road,
directly across from Salk Middle School will eventually be developed. The future development of the property
includes the possibility of a trail according to the trail master plan. Commissioner Anderson requested this be a
discussion item at the November meeting. Currently, there is only parking on the west side of the road, across
from the baseball fields which raises safety concerns about pedestrians crossing to the east side of the road to
access the ball fields.
I also reviewed this conceptual trail with City Planner Zach Carlton, and he feels we should wait on trail location/
alignment until the property gets developed.
