DISCUSSION:
• The City of Elk River has awarded the contract for the expansion of the fiber loop to the
northeast area of Elk River, the low bidder was below the project estimate. This is
planned to be a joint project between City of Elk River, ISD 728, and ERMU. We are
expecting the majority of the work to be done in 2024.
• We are expecting review drawings for the Otsego substation transformer in January of
2024. This is currently scheduled for delivery in May of 2026.
• We are beginning the planning and design of the future East substation, which will be
needed to support development in the southeast portion of our service territory.
• We continue to assist with Advanced Metering Infrastructure system planning and setup
as the first meters are installed.
