Essential Functions Provides support for the entire computing environment. A. Implements, administers, supports, troubleshoots, documents, and maintains the cit�T net�vork infrastructure. This includes Local Area Network / Wide rlrea Net�vork equipment, switches, routers, wireless controllers/ and access points. B. Manages firewalls, security applications, and virtual private networks while adhering to the Criminal Justice Network Requirements. C. Traces, documents, patches, and tests fiber and copper cabling infrastructure. D. Ensures net�vork and applications are accessible to users with miiiirnal interruptions and optimal performance. E. 1�laintains, recommends, and implements syTstems securityT. F. Supports PC hard�vare including desktops, notebooks, mobile PC's, printers, scanners, tablets, and other hardware devices. G. Supports and manages the virtual desktop environment. H. Supports desktop operating s�-stems. I. Ans�vers user questions on hardware, printing, Internet, and messaging issues. J. Supports and manages phyTsical and virtual servers. K. Supports desktop shrink-wrapped applications such as 1�licrosoft Office, web browsers, and antivirus. L. Supports the various business applications used within the cityT. M. Creates and manages user accounts in the various systems including netwoYk logon, messaging logon, and securityT syTstem. N.
