Background/Discussion In the 2023 Standing Agenda guidelines document approved by the MFAC on December 12, 2022, the dates for the following year are set to be approved at the December meeting. Attached are the proposed meeting dates for nd 2024 which were chosen by continuing to adhere to the 2 Monday of the month/every other month format approved by consensus on September 12, 2022, plus the standing agenda guidelines for each meeting. Based on feedback from the 2023 meetings some of the guidelines have been modified/moved to different meeting dates. Staff is requesting feedback on establishing rates in April or June. Having rates established earlier is advantageous for contract negotiations, however we have found ice rates for the following season are not readily available this early. Financial Impact Ensure the MFAC follows the city budgetary process needed to successfully operate the facility. Mission/Policy/Goal Establish sustainable rules to guide the MFAC’s actions in governing the Furniture and Things Community Event Center.
