Discuss the installation of public art in the parks.
Background/Discussion
The Beautification and Public Art Committee has expressed interest in funding a 3D art piece through grant and
fundraising opportunities. Desired locations for this feature include River’s Edge Commons Park, Orono Park. The
committee is considering some 3D art pieces that will be interactive or “played with”. The committee requests
feedback from the commission as to a desired location within these parks for this type of feature.
