Background/Discussion
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on November 28, 2023, to discuss a possible ordinance
amendment to permit and regulate cannabis growing, processing, and manufacturing. The Commission discussed
the preferred location for this industryT and possible standards to apply to future operations.
The Commission continued the public hearing to their DecembeY 19, 2023, regulaY meeting, where theyr will Yeview
a draft ordinance. The Commission's recommendation will be discussed with the CityT Council in JanuaryT.
Staff asks the CityT Council to open the public hearing, receive public comments, and continue the hearing to
Januaryr 16, 2024.
