Action Requested
Recognize the 2023 Beautification Award winner with presentation of the award by President Tveite.
Background/Discussion
Following a recommendation from the Beautification and Public Art Committee, the EDA selected at its
November 2023 meeting Edge Bar + Boutique, owned by Nicole Smith and Jennifer Wagner, as the winner of the
2023 Beautification Award. The award was based on Edge Bar + Boutique’s conversion of a vacant space into a
coffee shop and boutique. Additionally, the space was constructed and furnished by many local contractors and
companies which has resulted in a cozy community gathering place.
In the spring, Edge Bar + Boutique is set to be awarded with a garden bench purchased by the EDA from Plants
and Things.

The City Beautification Award recognizes business owners whose efforts to clean, repair, improve and enhance
the overall aesthetics of either the interior or exterior of the business, property and/or space thereby maintaining
the beauty of their neighborhood and surroundings. It is presented to encourage community improvements,
enhance the city’s image and economic vitality.
