SUBJECT: Authorization to Purchase Two Trucks for the Street
Department
The 2006 budget contains $311,000 for trucks and plow equipment. Staff obtained the
following bids through the State of Minnesota bidding process:
Single Axle

Recommendation
Staff requests Council approval to purchase both the single and tandem axle trucks, as cab and
chassis, from Astleford International for a total of $152,677.33. The trucks will be outfitted later
by another vendor with dump boxes and snowplow equipment. In order for the trucks to be
ready by fall, staff will need to order the trucks soon.
