Amend Agreement between City of Elk River and School
District #728 for Council Chambers Facility Use
Discussion
At the City Council meeting of January 18,2005, the Council approved the agreement
between the City of Elk River and School District #728 for the use of the Council
Chambers as well as cable casting of the School Board meetings. At their January 3
Organizational Meeting, the School District passed a motion to change the starting time of
their first meeting of the month (2nd Mondays) from 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., beginning with
their February 13 meeting.
The contract states:
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed that:
1. The District may use the City's Council Chambers on the 2nd Monday of each month
for a School Board meeting commencing at 7:30 p.m. and on the 4th Monday of each
month for a School Board meeting commencing at 7:00 p.m. These meetings will be
broadcast live on ERt V Channel 12 by City production staff.
Action Requested
Approve amending the agreement between the City of Elk River and School District #728
for Council Chambers Facility Use to reflect the meetings start time of 7 p.m. on the 2nd
Monday of each month.
