VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 10, 1917
A Regular meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman on Wednesday Jan 10
1917
Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, E.E. Scott, E.J. Keegan Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk.
Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:15 P.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed
Elk River Garage care of fire engine 9.92
Aug Wruck labor on St 6.25
Charles Nord 1.25
On motion duly made seconded and declared carried the Clerk was ordered to draw an order on
Treas for the sum of Twenty five 25.00 to aid in caring for Rest Room.
The following resolution was adopted unanimously
Whereas the Council being informed by the Minn State Sanitorium that Mrs. Thomas Gilfoy a
patient from their Village was unable to pay for further care at said sanitorium and it being necessary
to have more funds for her care.
Therefore resolved that the sum of $32.00 be appropriated from the general fund to pay for care
already received and also to pay one half of two months more care at said sanitorium. The Co. of
Sherburne to pay bal said one half to be paid when due if services are ordered. Also the bill for care
of Mrs. Lydia Goodin deceased be paid.
No further business adjourned.
