VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
March 24, 1917
A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the office of C.F. Fiman Pres on Saturday
morning March 24, 1917
Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, F.M. Plank Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk.
The following resolution was offered
Whereas, the Vill. Council having ordered 32 piling to build Ice Break in Miss River above Bridge
with the understanding that they should use them this winter and said order being given the E.R.
Lumber Co early in February for immediate delivery and said piling having not arrived at this date
and it being to late to use said piling before the river breaks up therefore be it resolved that the
council cancel above order for piling and refuse to accept same.
On roll call the vote was unanimous

Clerk ordered to notify Elk River Lumber Co immediately.
