VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 19, 1916
A Regular meting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman on Wednesday evening
Jan 19, 1916.
Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, E.J. Keegan, F.M. Plank, E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne,
Clerk.
Visitors L.K. Houlton, Fredrick Bass and T.L. Daniel. Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:00 P.M.
Frederick Bass consulting engineer and T.L. Daniel representing the Charles Pillsbury Co each
presented their estimate for preparing preliminary plans for water works and fire protection for
Village. On motion duly made seconded and carried the following resolution was adopted.
Resolved that the sum of 75.00 be appropriated for expense of preliminary plans and estimated cost
of water supply for the Village.
The Pres appointed F.M. Plank E.E. Scott and W.F. Chadbourne a com. To attend to the business
of choosing and instructing said engineer.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed
Elk River Lumber Co 35.54 lum and cement
Standard Oil Co 33.96 gasoline for St
Charles M. Babcock 68.14 rent of engine house
C.F. Fiman 5.10 expense and cash paid John Shetlcok
The following resolution was adopted. Resolved that the sum of 30.76 be appropriated to reimburse
C.F. Fiman cash paid for the care of Mrs. Geo Goodin at Sanitorium. No further business
adjourned.
