VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
February 16, 1916
The postponed Regular Meeting of Village Council was held at the Bank of Elk River on Wednesday
evening Feb 16, 1916.
Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, F.M. Plank, E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk.
Visitors Fredrick Bass C.E. Minneapolis F.D. Waterman
Meeting called to order at 8 o’clock P.M. by President.
Frederick Bass C.E. of Minneapolis having been chosen by committee appointed by the Pres to
make estimates and plans for Village Water Works made his report on two propositions which were
read accepted and placed on file for future use any action was deferred until next meeting of
Council.
At this juncture a delegation of Ladies representing a committee from “The Ladies Rest Room”
consisting of Geo E Parsons C.F. Fiman F.M. Plank and Charles
Kaliher asking a donation to support Rest Room after some discussion the following Resolution was
presented.
Resolved that the sum of twenty five dollars be donated from the General Fun to assist the ladies in
maintaining said rest room.
