VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
February 29, 1916
A meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman Pres at the Bank of Elk River on
Tuesday Feb 29, 1916.
Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, F.M. Plank, E.J. Keegan and E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne,
Clerk.
Meeting called to order by Pres at 8:30 P.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed
The E.R. Power and Light Co for fixtures on Streets 588.58
Waterous Engine Co replace for engine 38.00
E.R. Garage 21.01
Kocher Daly Co .30
After some discussion in regard to more light in Park and in alley back of stores. It was decided to
puchase a 500 volt lamp and put it on top of Band Stand and connect with street lamps.
Mr. Waterman of the E.R. Power and Light Co agreeing to furnish electricty at the rate of 5.00 per
month for same. It was also decided to put lights in alley. The E.R. Power Co to furnish lights free
of cost if council would furnish lamp. No further business adjourned.
