VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 5, 1916
A Special meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman on Wednesday April 5,
1916
Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, F.M. Plank, E.J. Keegan, F.M. Plank Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne,
Clerk.
Meeting called to order at 2:30 P.M.
This meeting was called for the purpose of appointing a Village Treasurer.
On March 14, 1916 at the regular Village Election. Mr. R.A. Calif was unanimously elected Treasurer
it appearing that he has never qualified for said office and the time limit having expired for doing so.
The Council declared a vacancy in the office and proceeded to appoint Mr. Lewis K Houlton Village
Treasurer who immediately took the oath of office and filed his bond which was duly accepted and
filed in the Clerks office and County Auditor notified of appointment.
Mayor Fiman was also authorized to give temporary aid to the family of Sam Muffler they being in
need of assistance.
No further business adjourned.
