VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 8, 1915
A regular meeting of Village Council was held at the offices of C.F. Fiman Pres on Wednesday Dec
8, 1915
Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk.
Visitors R.A. Calif, C.S. Wheaton, J deBooy, Andrew Davis
The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and declared carried were
allowed.
Davis Bros goods for street 7.91
Hamlet and Gould hauling engine 2.00
Standard Oil Co gas 31.28
Geo Marchineau blacksmith 6.80
E.L. Clark cleaning .50
2 membership in Assn 6.00
The G.N. Ry presented a corrected copy of contract and blue print showing location of ground to
be covered by the Village of Elk River with crushed granite in return for such services the said G.N.
Ry agrees to transport without charge to the Village of Elk River 25 car loads of crushed granite
from St. Cloud mine.
On motion of E.E. Scott Trustee seconded by W.F. Chadbourne Clerk the above propostion was
unanimously carried and the President of Council and Clerk were instructed to sign contract and
return to G.N. Ry immediately with seal of Village attached. Some discussion was had by visitors in
regard to calling a Special Election to vote on proposition to issue bonds for water works by no
action was taken by Council. Meeting adjourned.
