VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 13, 1915
A Special meeting of the Village Council was held at Bank of Elk River on Monday Dec 13, 1915.
Present – C.F. Fiman Pres, E.J. Keegan, F.M. Plank, E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne,
Clerk.
F.D. Waterman of the Elk River Electric Light and Power Co asked to be released from his bond
given Village July 16, 1915 and accepted by the following resolution passed July 15, 1915.
Resolved
That the bond to the Village of Elk River, Minn made by F.D. Waterman as principal dated July 15,

1915 with Fidelity and Deposit Co of Maryland as surety filed with the Village Clerk on the 15 day
of July 1915 be and the same is hereby approved and the President and Clerk are authorized and
directed to so note on said bond passed by unanimous vote.
On motion of E.J. Keegan Trustee seconded by F.M. Plank Trustee the following resolution was
offered.
Whereas F.D. Waterman of the Elk River Electric Light and Power Co having nearly completed his
contract to furnish electric lights for said Village of Elk River by building a dam and power house as
agreed upon and having the sum of 2000.00 tied up by said surety Bonding Co. asks to be released
of said bond that he may have the use of said 2000.00 for completing his contract.
Therefore, be it resolved by the Council that the request of F.D. Waterman be and the same is
hereby granted and F.D. Waterman and the Fidelity and Deposit Co of Maryland be released from
further obligation on this bond. Roll call on above resolution.
