RE: DODGE AVENUE RECONS1RUCTION
PUBLIC HEARING
Dear Council Members:
The public hearing for the Dodge Avenue Reconstruction Project is scheduled for Tuesday,
January 17, 2006. I will have a brief PowerPoint presentation to present at the public
hearing, after which I will be available to answer any questions the City Council or public
may have. As you are aware, there has been an informational meeting held on this project
and individual meetings with some of the property owners, so many questions may have
been answered.
After the public hearing is closed, the City Council should consider the attached resolution
which orders the improvement and authorizes the preparation of plans and specifications.
Since this was a City-initiated project, this resolution requires a four-fifths vote for adoption.

RESOLUTION 06-
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT AND
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS IN
THE MATTER OF THE DODGE AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENT
OF 2006
WHEREAS a public hearing relating to the Dodge Avenue Reconstruction improvement was held before
the Elk River City Council after ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of
the hearing was given; and
I
WHEREAS the City Council has duly considered the Feasibility Report and those matter presented at the
public hearing by those person desiring to be heard on the matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota:
1. The Dodge Avenue Reconstruction improvement is hereby ordered as recommended in the
Feasibility Report dated November 15, 2005.
2. T eny J Maurer, City Engineer is hereby designated as Project Engineer for this improvement. The
Project Engineer is directed to prepare plans and specifications for the making of the improvement
and the solicitation of competitive bids.
