Action Requested
Discuss the length of the tennis/pickleball season.
Background/Discussion
With the recent 50+ degree weather we have been experiencing this winter, residents are seeking an earlier start to
the tennis/pickleball season. The extended forecast does show above normal temperatures. Parks maintenance is
inclined to not install nets early because they are a seasonal amenity. There are additional costs of replacing the nets
more frequently by being exposed to the elements for longer periods.
Financial Impact
The cost to install a tennis court net is roughly $1,000 per net if they are frayed/damaged from weather.
