Action Requested
Discuss the merits of changing the FT Center budget to a fiscal year cycle from the current calendar year cycle.
Background/Discussion
A change to a fiscal year would allow us to capture our peak season within the same budget year along with
changes made season to season to our rates. Our September to April peak season currently crosses two calendar
years. Utilizing a fiscal year cycle would provide for better tracking and analysis of costs and revenues.
Because the Multipurpose Facility Fund is independent from the levy, this is a viable budgetary format for the
facility.
