Discuss the Volunteer Appreciation Program and Council Meet & Greet and provide input. If this date works,
the Council would need to determine their work schedule for that date.
Background/Discussion
Staff has tentatively scheduled the event for July 25, which is Elk RiverFest week and the whole week would be
designated, via proclamation, Volunteer Appreciation week.
We would locate the Council at the check-in desk. The concert that night is the Free & Easy Band. Rotary is also
scheduled to be at the Farmer's Market this same date. The volunteer event and Council meet and greet are
promoted through our various communication tools.
Some marketing materials we are looking to provide at the table include sponsorship guide, park trail map, Elk
River Area Guide, Council postcard contact information, concert schedule, and volunteer opportunities.
The Council should discuss timeslots they wish to attend starting at 2:45 p.m. to about 7:00 p.m.

$500 was spent in 2023.
