Action Requested
Discuss stone seating replacement options for Rivers Edge Commons Park.
Background/Discussion
The City Council directed staff at the September 5, 2023, Regular Meeting Work Session to research options to
address the deteriorating stone seating at Rivers Edge Commons Park. This park was constructed in 2007 and
expanded in 2017. Most of the stone seating has significant deterioration due to erosion.
Staff contacted the architects of the park, HKGi, to research and recommend options to replace the stone. HKGi
President, Paul Paige, developed options and will present them in greater detail at the meeting.
Financial Impact
The cost of each stone option is an unbudgeted expense and will need to be planned through our Capital
Improvement Plan process.
