Action Requested
Receive appeal and provide staff direction by motion of the City Council.
Background/Discussion
The city and iBackCheck, PLCC entered into a lease agreement for 3,038 sf of commercial space attached to the
Furniture and Things Community Event Center in May of 2022.
Since lease inception, iBackCheck has had numerous untimely payments, which per the executed agreement
incurred penalties. Staff have worked with the owner to bring iBackCheck into compliance.
Currently, iBackCheck is $4,460.71 in arrears related to penalties.
iBackCheck Chief Manager, Christi Jo Christian has requested an opportunity to appeal the due amount to the
City Council.
