Discussion of the three playground concepts presented to the neighbors of the Trott Brook Farms Park.
Approve, by motion, playground concept #3 to replace the playground at Trott Brook Park Playground.
Background/Discussion
Staff worked closely with Flagship Recreation on three playground concepts to present to the neighbors of Trott
Brook Farms Park. Staff mailed 510 postcards with a QR code stating “We want to hear from the members in your
household which playground you prefer. Help us choose a great option by completing a quick survey online.” The
survey closed on February 8 and the results are as follows:
Option 1 – 11 votes
Option 2 – 69 votes
Option 3 – 75 votes
Financial Impact
$125,000 is in the 2024 PIF for Flagship to install the new playground. This is for the playground installation,
wood chips, geotextile fabric and a dumpster. Staff will be conducting the site prep and coordinating the
demolition.
