VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 6, 1918
A Special Meeting of the Village Council was held on Saturday, April 6, 1918 at the Office of C.F.
Fiman Pres.
Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, F.M. Plank, E.E. Scott, E.J. Keegan Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne Clerk
Meeting called to order by Pres at 2 o’clock P.M.
This meeting was called for the purpose of considering the question of additional street lights in the
Village.
After discussing the question the following motion was made by F.M. Plank Trustee and seconded
by E.E. Scott Trustee. Moved that the Elk River Power and Light Co be notified immediately to
extend their poles and wire on the south side of Lewis Street to West Street and place street lights at
the intersection of High Street and also at West Street also to put a street light on State Street at
corner of Reed and Sherwood lumber office agreeable to sec (2) of contract filed in office of the
Village Clerk by the E.R. Power and Light Co. The Clerk was instructed to notify in writing the said
E.R. Power and Light Co.
