VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
October 28, 1918
A special meeting of Village Council was held on Monday Oct 28 1918 at the office of F.M. Plank
Trustee
Present – E.E. Scott, Pres. F.M. Plank and E.J. Keegan Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne Clerk
Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and declared carried were
allowed
Charles E. Brown Special watchman at fair 8.00
Henry Demars special watchman at fair 8.00
E.R. Garage storage of fire engine Aug 1918 5.00
F.M. Plank 29.53
P.M. Morneau Co for plate glass broken by fire engine 89.88
The Clerk was instructed draw on order for the amount of 200.00 payable to Treas of Sherburne Co
Fair Ass’n agreeable to resolution made and carried at a meeting of Village Council Aug 10, 1918
The following Resolution was offered by F.M. Plank Trustee
Resolved that the sum of six thousand 6000.00 be raised on the taxable valuation of the Village of
Elk River for current expenses during the year 1919 and that the Clerk notify the Co. Auditor of said
action immediately. Motion made by F.M. Plank Trustee and seconded by E.J. Keegan Trustee that
the above resolution be adopted.

Resolution declared adopted by the Pres. Vill Marshall was instructed to procure extra help for
