VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 2, 1919
A meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of F.M. Plank Trustee on Thursday Jan 2, 1919
Present – E.E. Scott, Pres. F.M. Plank and E.J. Keegan Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne Clerk
Meeting called to order by the Pres at 10:30 A.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and declared carried by the
Pres. allowed.
J.T. Plante goods for Mrs. Marchineau 30.33
Elk River Power and Light Co repairs st lights 13.40
Elk River Garage acct fire engine 22.22
P.M. Morneau Co repairing ballot boxes 1.65
The Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant for dues to League of Minn Municipalities for the
ensuring year 10.00
On motion duly made seconded and carried the Pres appointed F.M. Plank and E.J. Keegan
Trustees to look after the support of Mrs. Geo Marshineau family to the extent of 20.00 per month
until further notice.
The clerk was instructed to grant license to Grover Malroupe to operate billiard and pool tables and
also to sell cigarettes at his place of business he having deposited the fee for same.
No further business meeting adjourned.
