VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 21, 1919
Special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Office of the Elk River Lumber Co all
members being present as follows.

Bert Carr Trustee
Wm Norval Clerk
Meeting called to order by the President 8:30 P.M.
The committee who had visited Mpls for the purpose of purchasing a Chemical Fire Truck for the
Village of Elk River reported that they had been to the city and that after looking at several fire
trucks, had decided to purchase from the W.S. Nott Co of Mpls one Victor, Type B Double 35 gall
chemical Fire Truck for the sum of $2000.00 on the following terms $1000.00 to be paid in cash 30
days after the delivery of said truck or Elk River Minn, and every thing to be satisfactory as per
contract furnished by the W.S. Nott Co of Mpls the balance of $1000.00 to be paid by one Village
Warrant for said amount payable in one year from date of delivery bearing interest at 6% payable
annually with on or before privilege the above truck to be delivered in 25 or 30 days from the 13
May 1919. Contract delivered and signed by J.S. Virgin, Bert Carr, and Wm Norval Village Clerk.
Nothing further council adjourned
