VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 12, 1918
A regular meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman Pres on Wednesday June
12, 1918
Present – C.F. Fiman, Pres, F.M. Plank, E.E. Scott and E.J. Keegan Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne
Clerk
Visitors F.D. Waterman and H.C. Hastings
Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8:30 P.M.
Mr. F.D. Waterman of the E.R. Power and Light Co presented his statement in regard to installing 3
additional lights as ordered by Council and stated that if one more st. light was put at the Westburg
corner he would make the whole bill 64.98 proposition accepted by unanimous vote.
H.C. Hastings requested the Council to appropriate 50.00 to aid in grading street in Hastings
addition No. 2. After some discussion in regard to the matter a motion was made seconded and
declared carried that the Council would furnish 1 team and 2 men for 3 days work to aid the project.
Mr. C.F. Fiman Pres presented his resignation as Mayor to take effect immediately giving his reason
that his business would take him away from Elk River most of the tiem. He being home only
Saturdays. After some discussion it was decided by motion duly made seconded and declared carried

that the regular meeting of Council be held on the 2 Saturday of each month in order to
accommodate C.F. Fiman Pres.
No action was taken on resignation

Gentlemen: - I hereby tender to the Honorable Council my resignation, as mayor of the Village of
Elk River, Minn. Said resignation to take effect at once.
My association with you gentlemen, has been most pleasant and satisfactory. It has been a pleasure
to serve on this board with you, and I wish to extend to each of you my sincere thanks for your
splendid co-operation in the interest of the Village.
I trust and hope that you will in the future, as in the past continue to administer to the wants of the
Village in a harmonious way.
