VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 15, 1919
Special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Office of the Elk River Lumber Co on July

15, 1919. Meeting called to order at 8 P.M.
Present as follows.

This meeting was called for the purpose of paying the men who had worked in replanking the

Mississippi Bridge No. 668 on the night of July 12 and on the morning of the 13 said work was
thth
commenced on July 12 at 7 P.M. and completed on the morning of July 13 at 8 A.M. the men
were paid at the rate of 75 cents per hour. It being difficult to hire men for night work unless paid
extra wages the President moved that the men listed below be paid and that the clerk draw warrants
to pay each man individually for labor performed, seconded by Bert Carr and carried.
