Background/Discussion The City Council sets the vision for the community and adopts short, mid, and long-term goals to achieve that vision across all city departments. While these goals do not represent a complete list of city services, they do provide guidance to city staff on which areas the City Council considers priority. Financial Impact In discussing goals and priorities, the resources needed to support them are also discussed. The goals set by the City Council will determine some future budget items brought forward by city departments. Mission/Policy/Goal Current Mission Statement Where council and staff work with citizens to develop a sustainable and prosperous community for all to live, work and play; and to appropriately govern in an ever-changing environment.
